Good to hear that the clip-ons are not bothersome on long stretches. Is there any adjustments on the clip-ons to be able to raise them a bit? Other than all the major improvements of the New thruxton R and the Bonnie Line that I like one thing that thrilled me the most is that triumph finally made a key lock for seat removal.
Also, Is the thruxton R made in England?
There is a video from two blokes in the UK who had put the triumph thruxton R against a 2013 triumph street triple R and the thruxton was faster at any rpms. Impressive!
I am seriously considering trading in the Street triple for the thruxtonR
thanks again!
The Thrux is assembled in Thailand, as all the Modern Classics now are. I'm not sure what components are made there, but the 'Made in England' sticker I have on the '06 Bonnie is the last of it's kind.
There are no risers yet available, but there are lower bars for the sport kit that's available. The regular Thruxton's bars are about 15MM higher. But this is NOT the old Thruxton. The clipons are well above the triple clamp.
Yes, the easy-off seat is appreciated and overdue. One additional observation. The radiator is only 2 inches longer than the oil cooler on the CB, and far less noticeable. They did a great job with the plumbing.

It does, however, sound like the CB will be losing the fight for its place in your garage...
I'm not there yet. Need to metabolize all the retro.

Very nice!
