BMW is not the company it once was. The days of multi hundreds of thousands of miles and world touring may be behind it. I have a K75RT, maybe one of the best bike thy built for durability, but not speed. I decided to rebuild and correct the few design deficiencies so it will last way beyond my remaining years of riding so I will have it for retirement riding in 7 years. You made a good choice not getting the BMW. I just bought the CB1100 to have a naked day rider and I'm loving it so far.
