Thank you Cormanus. I simply could not bring myself to respond. Mine was a 6th Gen (2007) and the latest is considered an 8th Gen model. I've ridden with a guy who owns a white 8th Gen and the bike is a work of art. The paint has a pearlescent shine that is not captured in photos but is beautiful in person. Outfitted with the OEM panniers, it looks amazing and capable. But like the ferret suggests, the ergos are not ideal. Nowhere near the comfort of the CB despite being marketed as a sports tourer. Although a bit slimmer than the 6th Gen, reach to the bars is about the same.
She is a siren whose song will draw you in only to smash you against the rocky reef exposed by an unforgiving low tide. Unless, of course, you have a much younger and stronger back than I do. In which case, you will absolutely love the growl of that intoxicating V4. Whatever you decide, I strongly suggest you hold on to the CB.
