Well, I'm a little disappointed - I had to pass on the XR1200. It was in excellent condition, the after market exhaust wasn't too loud for me, it worked as good as I expected it too (I wasn't expecting a rocket ship), even the seat was comfortable enough but my knees were bent far too much.
I knew the XR1200 had an increased lean angle over conventional Sportsters but I hadn't realized that they partially achieved this by moving the foot pegs up and back slightly. There is no way my surgically repaired knees could stay bent like that for long.
I guess I'll have to switch my search to a Nightster. I just really want a Sportster.
