Once my CB11 is paid off ( a while yet, i know), my goal is to buy a second, older, used bike that i don't have to rely on, and thus can use to learn more about motorcycle repair, modification, and maintenance in a consequence free environment. with my CB11, i wouldn't dare experiment with it mechanically. But with a secondary old bike, if i just write the whole thing off as an expense, then i could have the opportunity to learn a lot.
That said, I have a certain set of criteria and desires for a secondary "fun" bike. Right now I'm most interested in an old inline 6 cylinder. of course, the Benelli is out, because where am i gonna get one? it's also the worst one. that leaves japanese models:
The CBX 1000
The Z1300
since all of you folks are old gurus, let's hear what you think on which of these two bikes is a better buy: go!
