It rained the day after I bought my 2003 Miata (MX-5) Shinsen Version.
Not a drop leaked, nor when I hosed it off at the coin-op hand held wand type car wash. However, some water dripped from edge of roof on seat when roof very wet and door opened.
If you take it on highway 23, which is Westlake Blvd/Decker Canyon Road, to the beach, some of those tight turns will feel like the MX-5 is on rails.
If I remember correctly, Decker Canyon was the chase scene (1965 Lincoln Continential vs 1955 Porsche 356A) in the 1966 Paul Newman movie, "Harper".
