I recently went to the Royal Enfield demo ride. I opted to ride the GT over the interceptor. That bike is so skinny it felt like it was barely there. The cafe style positioning wasn't as extreme as I thought even though the ride was short I could imagine myself on that bike for extended periods of time, although likely not as comfortable as the Interceptor which I imagine to be comparable to the CB. I was impressed with the fit and finish of the bike, it looks great in person. I was a little disappointed with the route and time of the demo ride, but there were tones of people there and I guess they were trying to get as many people as they could on a bike. I would say the 650 twins make a good beginner bike, they are light and easy to handle, inexpensive and have a great classic look. The sound of the engine and the stock pipes were great, I really liked the gauges and suspension were impressive for this price point. Not about to trade the CB in on one, but I was really happy to try it. If I had a smaller friend that was looking to start or maybe a second bike I'd recommend it, especially with the chrome tank on the interceptor. WOW!
