If the CB1100 didn't exist

I may not even have bought a bike. I wasn't even looking for a bike at the time, the thought of getting one was a back burner thing. But sitting around bored one day I started checking out what was available these days. First site I checked was Honda, and had to do a few double takes, I could not believe what I was seeing. SOMEONE FINALLY CAME OUT WITH A BASIC MOTORCYCLE!!!! Right then I decided I'm gettin' me one of these. So after a few months of research and running across this site I am the proud owner of a '14 standard. I did start checking out other stuff in case I couldn't get a CB11 and got to thinking a CB1000R might be big fun. I understand it's a great bike but I'm still on the fence with it style wise. If the Ducati Scrambler had been out I may well have been peeling out from the dealer on one of them. I still want a Ducati Scrambler as a second bike but that's not in the cards right now. It's interesting how many others on this board have expressed an interest in the Scrambler.
