Rain mode always = neutered. That's the very last thing I'd want from any motorcycle.

Yeah, that is the intention of rain mode - to remove available torque.

Exactly, I think RAIN mode is a good idea. I'm not sure I would need it on my CB1100 but I'm glad I have the choice on my Tiger 1200 in rainy old Ireland. 147PS is too much on the back wheel on a wet road.
