It certainly does, but they have so far been widely out of range in one metric or another. If i find one under 8k it has over 20k miles on it and a lot of wear and tear (or worse, been dropped). If find one withthe right mileage it's over 10k. I had given up on looking for them because they just never appear on my radar.

I did love my tiger, and it did everything perfectly fine. The V was just better in almost any other way. It boils down to an opportunity thing...if a tiger were the right price under the right circumstance its a good buy, but it doesnt always stack up against other options.

The V Strom is a know entity, since you owned one, and said you loved it. 300 miles is no big deal for the right bike. Nice weekend trip. Heck for $400 or something you could have it shipped to your driveway.
Except for the Tiger 800, (which you said was inferior to the Strom in every way) the rest are unknown entities you may or may not like.
