2½ years later...and having only rode the bike for the first time last Oct...and maybe putting 30 miles on it...I am putting this back up as a reminder both to myself and you.
Spring is almost on us- don't be impatient- still LOTs of gravel, salt, potholes... but also- no matter what you wear- no matter how careful you are- or what you speed it- you can get HURT.
I recently went back down the same road in my car- it is a very old town, old houses, old trees- and a small exit out of a retail parking lot- right where I went down on the bike, the same parking lot they put my bike while I was being put in the ambulance...now a car pulled out of it right in front of me while I was driving my big white SUV- I had to hit the brakes hard and think WTF...and then realized where I was and what must have happened before... Uggh.
