It would also be great if it had the old CT90 triple clamp/handlebar clamp that allows the handlebars to be rotated independently of the steering, secured with an over-center lever. It would be great on a Joe Hauler or other hitch-mount carrier.
Space is an issue for me. The centerstand is a real plus, as the bike can be stuffed along a wall - way better than on the sidestand. My Grom on the sidestand is as wide as the CB1100 on the centerstand.
A factory 5 speed would be nice. As you might have guessed; the aftermarket does make a 5th gear kit for the Grom, Monkey & Cub (very pricey)
Having folding handlebars wouldn’t be my thing, but I can see how they would fit some needs.
You’re spot on about the center stand. Less space and makes cleaning/lubricating the chain easier.
I’ll have to talk my brother into buying one of these bikes. That way he can keep it here so I can take care of it
