My brother is 5’10 or so and he looks uncomfortable on the bike. He’s going to have to decide for himself if the look of the bike or his comfort is more important. The Speedmaster has the “beach” bars which I don’t live because of the swept back grips. Cheryl likes them, but liked them a bunch more when she added risers that lift the bar by .5” and back 1” (or some similar up and back distances). I’m of the mindset that Ed’s riding experience will be greatly enhanced by adding these, but all I’m doing now is letting him know that he has options.
The Speedmaster can be fitted with the midcontrols pretty easily, but Cheryl (inexplicably to me) prefers the forward ones.
