I've had several shaft drive bikes, four BMW's among them. While it looks cool I can't see how BMW was able to get an exposed drive shaft on the market. How they got it buy the German agency that monitors potential safety hazards is beyond me. Would not want to see an article of clothing or a piece of metal/wood/whatever that had been run over lodged in it. Sad Just my 2 cents.
