I did spend some time on one and I really loved it. Yes they are heavy, but I did not find it more of an issue than in say a Tiger 1200. The GS is better when it comes to weight, also having the weight a bit lower. I would not want to take it off-road though... Also, I am quite tall so the weight of taller bikes is rarely an issue for me.
The engine is incredible, and I liked using the DCT (was my first exposure to a DCT). I was interested in getting a second hand one as I thought prices would be low due to the poor success of the bike, but for some reason I find them to be a bit too expensive here in Switzerland.
