Hey, thanks, Cormanus! Been off the radar for the past few days doing some repairs at Mom's house. That MV looks really cool, and if it's not that exact model, one very close to it was on display in the front lobby area of a local gas station and car repair shop. I had commented on it a few times, and the only thing the guys in the shop knew about it was that "Dad brought it over from Italy a long time ago and it's supposed to be pretty rare."
Very cool to see a classic Monaro in original form. We have a few out here, but they're all modified. Redline tires on cars like that are the shiznayat!
Had a bit of a show here on the 4th of July, with a parade that included a series of classic cars carrying local dignitaries. The '28 Ford Phaeton that I was in charge of was supposed to carry the mayor, but unfortuately it started leaking copious amounts of gas through the dashboard (The dashboard is the gas tank on that model), and despite Mrs. G's attempt to hold a rag over the leak while I drove, the mayor decided to ride in another car that didn't have a puddle of gasoline on the floor. We removed our flags and bunting in shame and limped the car back to it's garage.
