Nice dUh!
I ridden 30K+ miles with several local guys of with 1200RTs and a GSA1250.... they like them.
Check with the dealer, there's a recall on the rear drive unit on some RTs, I don't know if it affects the RS.
At 6 years, 55,000 miles, I've probably already paid nearly 1/2 what I paid for mine in service and tires. Tires and oil every 6K, full service every 18K.
My 18,000 service is a little more due to 6 cylinders...but those boxers are BMWs best sellers.
Except for that cost, I've loved every minute of it (except in parking lots..lol). It's like owning an airplane, not practical but sure is fun!
Ferret didn't you have a brake failure similar to that on your ST?
There is a transition going from a motorcycle with linked brakes and one without them. On the CB1100 I have make a conscious to use the rear brake when riding it.
