Wow, dUh!, that was sure an experience to remember! I truly hope that this was the end of your brake woes on the BMW and that it will perform just as you want it to for the rest of your ownership of it.
Not be ominous or anything, but the sole reason I sold my BMW and turned around and put that money into my CB1100 was the brakes... once they went wonky, no amount of service other than a complete replacement of the system would make it right. I was told that since the bike had sat for a long time before I bought it, most likely some sediment or impurity was lodged in the ABS module. The final estimate to make it right was close enough to what I'd be able to sell it for that I sent it down the road to a new owner who said "Brakes? Don't care about the brakes. I just don't have one of these and want it in my collection." Fine by me. That was five years ago. Just saw it recently at a cars and coffee gathering, still looking about how it did when I sold it, so either it was fixed or it's still wonky.
