I'm just comparing controlling the motorcycle if you have to. I did race moto x for years and laid down bike several times to avoid crashing while bike was still up right! None if us want to wreck but if you had the option to hit a deer with bike up rite or laying bike on side and sliding and hitting deer which would you prefer? Sure you could die both ways. But I'm just saying the way I ride I want to be in full control of my bike and using the brakes the way I see fit! Like I said before anyone with a 14 deluxe hit your rear brake at 60 and see what happens you will be shocked how the petal clicks and starts slowing down. Slowing down don't mean stop. And it takes away from any laying bike on its side and sliding. This is a better thread than oil. 
. But again a great forum as lots of us ride different not saying I ride the best of correct way. To be honest a bike with power you can accelerate out of a lot of accidents rather than using brakes. I have seen many many new riders hit the front brake turning and panic and lock up front tire and wreck or do the same in loose gravel etc so as for that ABS all the way ! I also stated that for my wife and kids I had rather see them on a ABS mode bike. Just not ABS for me if that makes any sense at all
