My 2013 CB1100 was the first bike I have with ABS and I wanted that .
For many years you could hardly lock up the front brakes because they were not all that good.
I rode CBX ,s for 25 years and the brakes on the early models combined with the weight of the bike made it nearly impossible to lock up the brakes.
These days the brakes are so good that you can lock them up with one or two fingers.
In perfect conditions I am certain that non abs is fine, but what about a panic stop?
We all will have them sometimes and you will be glad of abs.
Keep also in mind that all of us are getting older and reflexes are slowing down.
Some years ago I was on my RC 51, did not look ahead for a second, a car had stopped suddenly in front of me and I slammed on the brakes and locked them on, falling off.
$500 in parts and a bruised leg made me aware that if I had abs it would not have happened.
Perhaps the non abs riders do never make a mistake or will never have a panic stop but I know my limitations even after riding bikes for 45 years.
