I haven't seen the inside of a "14 CB headlight shell, but the inside of of the '13 is nice and neat. The accessory connector is red and has a protective plug in it.
It's been posted before, but be a little careful when removing the light. You have to tip it out some from the bottom and lift it off the shell. Don't break the plastic rings! Its easy to take off though and there are alignment arrows for the headlight adjustment on the left side. Make note of the alignment.
