This has happened before with Hondas .When I worked at a Honda shop years ago Honda recalled the 88 -89 Gold Wings because the
bank angle sensor leaked and would shut the bike off when it hit a bump. They ended up recalling all the Gold Wings and ST1100s.
I guess they did not want to take any chances. Only the 88 did it.
Of course some of the better techs that worked there figured out a
few tricks to beat Hondas flat rate time on the job - good old American ingenuity.
