On the Guzzi forum, those motors will run better with some oils (the newer 8V motors are very picky about the weight and oil quality). I've also read (hear?) than Honda oil is pretty good stuff but one would think Shell making a decent product too.
AGIP and Rottella (sp?) are top shelf brands too. But shoot, if you find a good brand that your bike likes, use it.
