and I'm not sure if I should mount it when it gets here or wait until after the first service to mount the pipe on the bike.

I know dealers will mount them on bikes before you ever ride off the lot but, does it hurt the bike?

Wait? For what? Slap that sucker on there, ASAP! BananaI got a TBR Carbon slip-on for my '08 Concours 14 when it was new and it still sounds great after 25,000 miles. Beer
