Neither of the OEM radial tyres are available in Australia any longer. I'm on my second set of [url=http://www.bridgestone.com/products/motorcycle_tires/products/battlax/bt45.html]Bridgestone Battlax BT45s which are bias tyres. In spite of occasional delusions to the contrary, I'm not within cooee of being more than an average rider and these tyres are fine. If I could get radial tyres, I'd use them, but there are no other radials the same size available in Australia.
Pterodactyl ran through a set of BT45s but then changed to the Michelin PR3s which he swears by. He felt the need to cut his centre stand down to accommodate the wider rear tyre. I was going to put them on when I needed new tyres last time, but I was travelling and did not want to confront the centre stand problem. It will be crunch time when I need new tyres.
EmptySea, the Ferret and others also use PR3s and speak well of them.
