Whats up fellas, need some help here, I've tried googling with no luck...
So my new battery came today, while i was filling it up I noticed it came with a thumbtack...it said if the electrolyte was very slow draining into the battery poke a hole in the container and it would let the air in so it would fill faster.
Well, the last cell was taking forever to fill so i poked a hole, then suddenly it started to overflow.
I cleaned up as much as i could but it looks like 2-3oz (could be more, could be less - but it wasn't much) didn't make it into the battery like it was supposed to....
My question:
Anyone know if this will affect the battery performance? I know I have to let it sit for a while (20 mins or so) then charge it; so I'm going to check it with a multimeter tomo, but I'm curious if I just ruined a brand new battery?
