I currently own a 2014 STD and 2014 DLX. The DLX is prettier for sure. But it weighs around 25 pounds more and when putting it on the center stand or moving it around the garage this old man can tell the difference. I also owned a 2013 CB1100 for about 9K miles and will tell you that I sure like having that 6th gear that both 2014 models provide. And the gear indicator on the 2014 models is nice too.
I put about 5K miles on a 2005 ST1300 and the CB1100 will feel like a toy compared to it. I mean that in a good way. It's so much easier to maneuver. That ST1300 wore me out in the twisties. But it sure was nice on the freeway.
