With a memory like a sieve,i thought a few years back when they took MTBE out of gasoline they added alcohol as an oxidizer, and also use it as an octane booster,so wouldn't premium have more alcohol than regular? I use regular in everything except the sportster which gets premium on the advice of an old harley mechanic(64 mpg last tank, base 883,1997),the CB has 450 miles on it now and the mileage display is at 55.1.It doesn't ping,I ride in the lower half of the rpm range. All my cars and trucks have always burned the cheap gas with no problems, every 3-5000 miles I dump a can of fuel system cleaner in with a tankful and run until almost empty.I've owned multiple vehicles(mostly bought new and maintained by me)and used cheap gas and fuel system cleaner and Mobil1 fully synthetic oil and never had problems with injectors, throttle bodies, mileage ,performance etc.
