Lots of folks here really like the performance of the Pilot Road 3, but recognize the rear isn't available as a 140/70-18. If using a 160/60-18 isn't a concern, you may want to try them. Others have tried the Metzeler Interac Z8 in the OEM size and seem to really like them.
I'm using the Bridgestone BT54's like you. They work fine considering how I ride the bike, but I'm not sure I could get 10,000 miles out of them!
