Width clearance is usually more of an issue, unless you decide to go crazy tall.
Close, but not exactly. The front tires are the same, but the CB750 uses a 17" rim on the rear. (i.e. Stock size 140/70-17 vs. 140/70-18). This was almost 7 years ago and I used a 150/70-17 on the rear. Looks like they don't sell that size anymore.

If the rear is an extra inch higher, I would think it's much more safer to assume it would fit fine, rather than width?
Was the wheels on your CB750 the same dimensions as the CB1100?
I remember GCarper posted dual sport tires on his CB1100 but they were not matching. Wonder why he didn't go for a matching MT90.
