When you change the battery, it might be worth it to fully reset the bike by holding down the brake lever for several seconds with the battery disconnected. This may help when reconnecting the new battery and getting the ECU back to a reset state.
This is the first I have read of this "ECU Reset" procedure.
Is it "CB1100 specific" or just something that has worked for you with other bikes in the past?
What type of ECU parameters is this procedure supposed to affect?
