Continental Trail Attack 2 on 2013 CB
#1
Yesterday I put the fourth back tire on my 2013 CB 1100 in 9210 miles.
The first Bridgestone OEM tire lasted 264 miles before I had a dry wall screw in the sea area. The second tire was also a Bridgestone OEM as I could at that time not find a different tire. I never really liked the stock ones and after 5700 miles on that second tire I put a Bridgestone 090 tire on with great grip and 150 width. That tire lasted 3240 miles ( most of my riding in WNC)
On my 2014 I have a Continental Conti Road Attack 2 Classic Race , also a 150 width. This tire has great grip but not all that suitable for rain , especially after some wear.
This time I installed the Continental Trail Attack 2 , in 150 /70.
I took it for a 100 mile ride today and like the grip and it should be good in the wet. It is OEM on 1190 KTM Adventure and BMW 1200 GS.
I never go of road but just want to try this tire. It is not cheap at just over $200 plus mounting.
Normally I use 42 lbs in the rear but I will lower it some as the side walls are quite stiff. There is also a 140/80 available for about $175
Has anyone tried this tire on his CB 1100.
I would love to put a Michelin Pilot 3/4 on the rear but only if available in 140 or 150.
