I didn't know whether to put this is Accessories/Modifications or Mechanical & Technical, so I figured General would be fine.
I just got my 2014 Standard this past Tuesday. The only thing I disliked during the test ride was the exhaust noise (or lack thereof). Coming from a Buell, I knew not to expect anything near the throaty sound that it had, but I didn't think this bike was going to be only a hair louder than a Prius either.
My first question is: is there anything I can do that uses the existing can e.g. remove a baffle, etc. to get more volume? I'd rather not have to do anything permanent like drill anything out.
Second question is: (if the answer to the first question is no) what is considered to be a good aftermarket can to put on? Ideally something not too terribly expensive that gives me a little more sound but nothing obnoxiously loud.
Third question: if I do get an aftermarket can, what's the best way to go about tuning it?
