Sitting on any full size bike, my feet don't reach the ground. Heck they barely reach when it's on it's wheels, and my fat tush is compressing the suspension lol.

I do this - but also with the side-stand out, in case I lose balance or leverage and can rest it if necessary.

Reasonable too. I occasionally leave the side stand out in moments when I feel weak (actually, when the ground doesn't feel just quite right).
