Apparently the bike had been sitting in the sun, the pressure had been vented from the tank and when it cooled off the air could not get back into the tank because of a fault, the mv i'm not sure about since i have no proof but the Suzuki tank looks for real.

The breather line can sometimes get pinched when the tank is re-installed after servicing, if not careful. I've heard of a couple imploded tanks, including one that happened while being ridden. All happened to be black tanks.
