I think it's okay that you had the valves inspected at 35000 km. Many owners don't bother with frequent valve inspections and suffer no consequences, but it certainly can't hurt (unless the work is not performed correctly).

One consideration when taking the bike to a new dealer for service is their lack of knowledge of the last service, so it makes sense that they may recommend a full service. You may find that you can easily perform many of these periodic services yourself, including oil changes, air filter replacement, spark plugs, etc. I can't comment on the tick noise without actually seeing the bike.

That is not a bad description but it would be a great deal better if you could provide a video taken at different places that shows where the sound originates from.

Ask yourself; if the sound is electrical would it not be the same all the time?

The relationship with a dealer to me is a two way affair, if you want them to take care of your issues it may cost a bit because they have to search for the issue and spend time on it, also you can ask upfront to explain in detail what the problem was and how/if it was repaired rather than; oh ok then.......
A second or third opinion is a good idea but you then have to examine the outcome and evaluate the answers carefully, generally with these bikes if you leave them alone they will serve the owner well, you are not the first one that regrets lifting the valve cover too soon for a clearance check, some have driven the bike for over 80.000 km after the initial check, however we all understand that we want to take care of this machine.

If your bike sounds similar to this one ( at 25 seconds into the video ) don't do anything to it, yours has over 30.000 faultless kilometers, keep it that way;

And the oilcheck has to be done on the centerstand on a level surface according to the ( downloadable owners manual ), it is a wide oilpan and it takes 5 minutes after shutting the engine off to stabilise the oil level.

i will make a video tomorow to show you. the noise we hear at 25 seconde in the video doesn't seems fault for me either. mine does the tick only when the bike is just on and slightly warm, so when the rpm's are dropped to 1100 in neutral, when i then pull the trottle till 2000 or 2500 it tics. when i drive a good bit and the bike is fully hot, then it tics sometimes even without trottle. friday i have the check up, new airfilter, new spark plugs, oil filter and oil. and he's gonna check the tick. i'll see and tell you after. tommorow i'll upload what i mean..

oil i check when bike is cold offcourse and on center stand. after 5000km's suddenly it was empty, i refilled it 2 or 3 weeks ago, now its still ok
