Yesterday, the ramp down to my garage was covered on wet dead leaves. I got down by just using the rear brake (some locking, ABS kicking in...). As I knew the front was going to be on the very limit of traction I didn't want any brake pressure on that end.
Sometimes, you just need to decouple braking systems to get control.
On another note: you wouldn't pass through inspection here if you tinker with the braking system like that.
And even on another note: I'd like to try a VFR800 with its linked brakes system.
