Rocky, I think you've mid-quoted me above. Slight technical glitch maybe?

Had a 2002 919 from 2002-2004. 18k miles in 25 months of ownership. As much as I want another, I think a CBR1100XX would beat it out for space in the garage at the moment.

I think my bike is still on the Mag Knight website as their 919 "model".

I came to the CB from a 919 as well. Put 10000 miles on it from 2008. Great bike.

The CB is different in many aspects. While the 919 is forgiving, the CB is more so when getting a little frisky around town. The Grunt of the CB is slightly lack luster when in stock trim but a few mods and it will pull harder than the 919 without turning into a unicycle.

The CB is generally more fun when you don't have your hair on fire. It is not a bike that will be out flogging sport bikes in the twistys, but at sub warp speeds it is more rider oriented. To get it working hard you need to be RIDING it. Not like hanging off type riding but you have to be moving around. This makes it a more enjoyable ride. Did I mention Torque for days?

Keep in mind I just threw some wicked gearing into my CB and that torque is amazing. Roll on at 70 in high gear gets you 90 in a couple heartbeats.

Well, I have someone wanting my 919 and I found a 400 mile "used" 2013 for $5999.

My main concern is buzz. The older I get the less I can ride "buzzy" motorcycles.

I've read a ton on the "net".......it's wierd some say it's the smoothest bike they've ever owned and some say it's buzzy.

It is a little 'buzzy' but not at a frequency or level that is bothersome.

I too had a new 2007 Red Honda 919. Honda had some very good pricing on these final year models. My 2¢... The 919 felt noticeably more top heavy to me vs the CB1100. The 919 seat was not very comfortable.

IMHO buzz not the issue very smoot. It is the ass killer seat. I have a Corbin coming but probably 2-3 weeks none in stock.
