I'm on Facebook (rarely). Honestly, I'm not all that enamored with it. I appreciate the suggestion, but at this point in time have little desire to create a Facebook page associated with this forum.
Sounds like Motogeezer has a start on a CB1100 Facebook outlet for those who are interested in that option and that's fine by me. Same here. Little to no use for Facebook. However, I find the "Communities", such as the World Motorcycle Community ( https://plus.google.com/communities/1039...2263776534) on Google Plus to be great. You can have members, sub-sections to post into, etc. Pretty much everything you get with forum software (such as used here) can be done in a Google+ Community for free, and with a whole lot less maintenance hassle on the part of the owner.
I have managed large motorcycle forums in the past, and know what a royal pain in the rear it can be. Something to think about if you ever want to simplify.

I like FB... a great way to keep in touch with old and 'scattered' friends plus those kids who can't seem to stay in one place. I'll check out the page. Note, there is another FB page for the CB1100, but it's very quiet.
Ok.... I had to use the link to find it and have requested membership. A general search from my FB page didn't work. You might want to ensure that it's 'easily searchable'.

Face Book is obviously not for everyone. I like it, it's enabled me to meet thousands of people with interests similar to mine. I've met lots of artists, designers, old friends, school chums and riders, male and female. I suppose my interests and social appetite are broader ranged than most. There's no way it could take the place of this forum, there's too much good information and great people here. So, no one's forcing anyone to do anything, if you don't want to try it, leave it be. Either way, enjoy the ride!

I'm all for FB, use it regularly, especially with my Isle of Man friends and other far flung groups. Plus, a curated stream of news from various sources. I'll join the DLX page, Even though I'm merely a '13 non- ABS owner

I tried to view it and it asked me to login. I assume that means you need an account.

You can arrange to have your page/photographs open to the public or to just members. If it's just members you can set your security settings to everybody, friends of friends or just friends and from what I understand, to just members of that page.
I got sucked into Facebook when I created an account to test web filtering in a lab. Had to make sure FB came through. Connected with old high school friends (some, it was great to hear from again but they had turned into wacko's ), met new friends, especially motorcycling types from all over the world. I also use it to post dog agility pictures from trials so I have all these dog people as friends because I capture their dogs in action. Once I retire I may have to charge for that!
But it's just a tool. Like any tool, to get the most out of it takes some skills, and not all tools are for everyone. It it interesting to see how some people grew and got better and a bit depressing how others turned sour and down right sad how life ended being so cruel to some.

Facebook has few important drawbacks I hate. Lack of search is one of them. When you write something, it moves back and after time it is gone forewer. I joined and added a picture of my bike but II´m deffinitely staying here on great CB forum.
