Absolutely horrible. Must have been terrifying for your wife. Luckily, your 3-year-old is probably too young to get the seriousness of what happened. I hope you heal up quickly and completely. It sounds like your physical wounds will heal up nicely. Don't be surprised if it takes a bit longer to get your head straight.

unfortunately you get into accident and you will be okay soon.

Intersection is always most dangerous even rider have the right of green light. In your case, the driver makes left turn not seeing you and probably you don't brake hard enough and pay attention your right.

when having my green light to go, I always wait a sec or two just make sure no red light violators cross my way and look both ways to see that I am clear to go. I do not like city riding nor HWY in traffic hours ... too many cars and they tailgate.

Let's face it, riding is taking a lot of chance, rider don't have protection. I always give drivers hard stares when they invade my space.

So sorry to hear this!

I've heard of people getting pretty gnarly road rash even with a jacket on. So many dumb drivers out there not paying attention. Get well soon

If you don't mind me asking what gear were you wearing and how did it hold up?

Some stitches here and there, a couple fractured ribs at tops of my rib cage, road rash all over. All the pulled muscles. Been in the hospital since Thursday morning.

No i don't know how the bike is and i really couldn't care right now...

Glad that you're still around to worry about stuff other than your bike.

Heal well,
Guth

Yeah notice that solid white line she crossed when she changed lanes to hit me.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, and wish you a speedy recovery. It appears that you will ultimately walk away without permanent damage and that is a blessing, for sure.

Did she right on red? Or, light change for you, as she ran a yellow?

Still all the road rash with full gear on? What brand and type? Think maybe we on the forum want to be sure we are not wearing the same! Huh

Well poop. Sad I hope you heal up soon, but those darn ribs take a good six months. Take it from someone that has busted a few of them. Bones do fine, but the soft tissue takes long while. Sucks.

And enjoy the sponge baths while you can get them......... Big Grin
