How’d you know which bars would be same height but with more sweep back? Did you have an old set to try out? I’ve thought about changing mine but don’t know how to determine what to look at m

Something I've experience in my 10k miles of all weather commuting on my CB. This is anecdotal so don't come after me.:
A bar that allows me to sit a bit hunched forward (think sport bike, but not so aggressive), allows me to cut through the wind and not get as beat up by turbulence and buffeting. It also aides in not aggravating my back as any major bumps aren't going straight up my spine and using it's discs for suspension. It's also much easier to use my legs for parts of the road that are rough, reminiscent of my motocross days. If you think about it, motogp guys and MX guys aren't really sitting down even when it appears that they are. Letting the bike do the work also seems to give the bike a more planted feeling.

Anyways, this is just my experience on my 1.5 hour roundtrip commute that is mostly highway. That includes riding in heavy rain and heavy fog. Riding in the fog is the only time I've been genuinely scared and i wouldn't recommend it lol.

If the seat bolster was a few inches more forward, wouldn't need risers. 4-5" closer to the bars would improve my riding position and straighten my 70+ year old back. I know risers would be cheaper. Some seem to have success with them, others don't. Just exploring other ways to change rider position.

One of the first things I changed on my bike- I didn't do risers- I put on handlebars off a different Honda that are the same height- but a little wider and a little more pulled back towards me.

I def sit a little more upright.

Not to dredge up an old thread. But I'm interested to know what Honda those new bars came off of if you know. And also, what SEAT is that on the bike in the pics. If it's as comfortable as it looks, I want one !
