RLETs are many things to many people. Their meaning escapes easy definition. A friend of mine who works at Google in Mountain View, California told me how even their most complex algorithms have repeatedly failed in efforts to identify, characterize, or describe RLETs, despite amassing hundreds of petabytes of data from across the globe. That, no doubt, explains your inability to find mention of them on the web. I'll tell you this, they are life changing. Every man must find his own path to enlightenment. I wish you luck on your journey and don't forget to post photos once you add them to your CB!

I have to fourth or fifth the sentiment . I am still wondering why I bought the bike while I have a perfectly good Wee-strom. A fellow on ADVrider said it over a year ago-I love the bike, its a great bike but it doesn't give me the same feeling when I see and ride the CB. This forum is fabulous. What a varied, knowledgeable and entertaining group.

I hope I am not overstepping being only in the break-in period.

the Break-in-Period, or High Mileage, etc by your name is part of the Web site software. When Guth first turned the site on someone asked him about it and IIRC he said he didn't know what they were either. Anyway, keep posting and you will move up to High Mileage too, although you will have to go some to reach Cormanus--or Ferret's post count.

PS. I don't know how many posts move you up. Maybe ferret does.

Extending on Chip's eloquent post, I do think that this forum has likely done more to market the CB1100 than Honda ever has. A lurker thinking about buying a CB would likely find such a pleasant and knowledgeable group of enthusiasts to be a 'club' they would like to be part of, by owning a CB. The fact that it is such a beautiful and versatile motorbike makes it an easy choice. Particularly if you ignore the comparison tests, both in magazines and in your own head, about which bike is 'better.'

Conversely, I've experienced such ugliness on other forums, related to other bikes, that I've actually reconsidered ownership of said machine. Anyone dipping in to the ZRX forum and being pelted by political garbage and trolling over asking a simple question would understand.

Bikes, like dogs, align with, and often reflect their owners....and vice versa. The CB1100 is a Golden Retriever.

This forum has been an excellent companion to the CB1100. I rarely check the forums for our 950T but this forum is checked every day, enough said

They are rubber covers for the end balls on your brake and clutch lever. They come standard on the Alabama and Tennessee 2014 and 2015 models. We typically remove them just as we do the tank stickers for weight and clutter reduction. The southern babes love to see us running without our Rlets.
