Thanks Cormanus and ferret - I appreciate your congrats and well-wishes!

Truth be told, I still want a sweet CB1100 sitting next to it in the garage someday. Now that would be a perfect pairing, like a sip of mellow port wine (CB1100) followed by a bite of Stilton bleu cheese (F800GT) on a fine table cracker (Kentucky). Separately, they are nice but put them together and it's magical. :-)

Guth thank you! It was truly a memorable day. Not only did I bring home a fabulous new mechanical companion, but I saw my son graduate high school with multiple honors and accolades. The feeling of a new bike is fantastic but the swell of emotion upon seeing my son's hard-earned accomplishment was even better!

Chief, it's a parallel twin with a 360° firing order. Are you new to motorcycling? Rolleyes

"...annoy buzz..."? That's a rather subjective characterization. It's only annoying if you despise torque and horsepower on tap in virtually every gear at virtually every speed and don't like the inherent visceral mechanical nature of motorcycles.

I'm new to motorcycling. What's a 360° firing order? Does it mean a cylinder goes <BANG> every time the crankshaft goes around? Undecided

I also like the dealer's sticker in one of the early pictures that says "Sold. Sorry."

Sorry? I'll bet they're not. Why doesn't it say "Sold. Great news!"
