How long did it take you to decide on the CB1100?

How long did it take for you to decide before buying the CB1100?

I'd been shopping and comparing for about 4 years while riding my KL650. I knew I wanted something better for the street, lower seat height and multi-cylinders. I looked at Triumph's Scrambler and Bonneville, the America, Kaw Versys, and many, many others. I just could not decide although a couple of times I thought I found the perfect bike, I just couldn't "pull the trigger".

When the CB1100 came out in 2013, I went and test rode one and I really liked it. At that time I was comparing it to the Bonneville. I was amazed at how "smooth" it was, riding, cornering and power delivery.

Anyway, long story short,I came into a little money and knew I was buying a new bike within a month. I was sure I was getting the new Kawasaki Versys 650, but just couldn't do it. I don't know why.

So, I went and sat on the CB, I put down the deposit, and had the bike within two days. I have never been happier with a purchase or a new motorcycle.

I walked in to the Honda dealer, looked around, saw my CB, sat on it, and I was hooked.

I decided I would buy one when they were released in Japan and Australia back in 2010. When they announced in 2012 that the CB11 was coming to the U.S., my decision had already been made.

When I saw the photo of the concept bike (2006 or 2007 ?), I knew that I wanted one.

The first time I saw a picture of the CB in the US bike magazines I was hooked.
The day the 2014's arrived at my dealer I happened to be there and it only took me mere minutes to decide.

+1 on what Furious_blue said. When I stopped at the dealer and they had one, 15min later it had a deposit. They wouldn't do all the paperwork until I picked it up about 2 weeks later. It rained a lot then and unlike Guth, I didn't want to ride it home in the rain, first ride.

It didn't took me long, to decide to drive a CB.
One or two weeks. I liked Honda's retro offer
and quite by chance, I changed a Guzzi, that went wrong, against
the new machine, 'cause the dealer of both bikes was sort of cooperative.
And that was it. Until now I do not regret the switch. It simply was the better deal,
despite the fact, that the Cali had a charismatic feel as long as it functions.

Too long!

I had been following the CB news online but where I live I never got a chance to see one for real.

The day I finally saw one at a not-so-local dealer I bought it.

I'm kind of thinking I need a spare, in case they never make any more!

one nanosecond. The first time I set eyes on the 2014 CB1100 Deluxe, I know it was love at first sight.
