Not superstitious however....

I was looking at my brother's Harley the other day and he had this tiny bell hanging from the front. I'm obviously intrigued so I ask him and he explains it is a Guardian Bell and goes into details about how it is suppose to protect you from Road Demons. I don't normally buy into such things but it couldn't hurt (and it looks kinda cool) so I buy one off of ebay. It arrived today and I start searching for a place to hang it from the bike. OK, HERE IS WHERE IT GETS REALLY INTERESTING....I found a tiny hole in one of the cooling fins that works perfect. What else could said hole be for? I'm guessing our Asian friends must have had a reason. Care to speculate? Anyways, check it out....

A very kind gift from Ride4now. Not only has it successfully warded of road demons, gremlins and soccer mums, it is a chance for me to bore the pants off anyone incautious enough to enquire about it. They learn about the First Official CB Forum Rally and the friendship and generosity of those attending.

Cheers
I put mine a little higher than yours, Ecka, to prevent damage from gravel roads. It hangs from the lower front engine mount.

One came with my new leather jacket from Fox Vally. I sent it back to them. Figured someone else could use it. However, I won't run over a black cat, or ride under a ladder, does that count as superstitious?

should have kept it, they are supposed to work if someone else gives it to you.

A friend of mine (who is totally not a motorcycle person at all) bought one for me from the Harley Store on the Vegas Strip. Not a superstitious person at all, but always left it on my bike, mostly because it seemed like a nice gesture on her part. Never thought I'd see these mentioned on here.

I spend quite a bit of time going over my personal and "professional" gear to make sure that things DON'T jingle. Hahaha

I absolutely understand though that safety is as much mental as it is physical. If the bell make you feel safer against gremlins and therefore more confident on your bike, I am 100% supportive.

I should have looked harder for a place to put the guardian bell! I can finally get this thing out of my nose!
