That is a radical change in rides . . . the Hayabusa is capable of 190 mph! I had one back in the early 2000s. It was a big heavy sport bike with incredible power and torque, but alas not the bike for me, even when I was 15 years younger. Too aggressive and Suzuki's EFI back then was not yet dialed in very well just off idle. Nevertheless, for top speed bragging rights, the Hayabusa is still in an elite class.

Congrats!

My goodness, anything that'll make ya happy...but to any CB1100 owner who is just not feeling the love, put some time and effort into the handling and suspension before you give up on this bike.

Mine is SO GOOD now. Ethereally smooth at 75 mph on the freeway with the bar modifications, handles, turns, and stops brilliantly with stainless lines, HH pads, Ikon shocks, and premium tires.

Of course it did take me several thousand miles and a lot of work to get it there, but I ain't got more'n a thousand bucks all told into this bike, probably less.

I tell ya the funny thing is I never envisioned myself on a Hayabusa! I've always had 2 bikes, but I am getting to where I would rather just keep up with one. Over the past 6mo or so I've been saying to myself i want 1 bike that is a "do it all" machine.

My personal list was power, comfort, light sport-touring ability, looks, power (wait, did I say that twice Big Grin), strong aftermarket support, and superb reliability. The CB hit all of those, except i was hungry for more power. When I picked up the CB I thought i was over my "need for speed" haha, but i guess I still have a little bit of a HP junkie left in me!

I can honestly say i really REALLY love the look of the CB and that is what I'll miss the most. My favorite thing to look at on a motorcycle is the MOTOR! Now all i get to see is plastic Sad I'm going to stick around, when i look at the bikes on here I normally have to wipe the drool off my keyboard, there just isn't a prettier bike out there!

Man I picked this up for a great price. It's bone stock, 1-owner, it is PRISTiNE - like, insanely clean (I'm VERY particular about how i keep my bikes, and this one met my very high standard), 1720 miles, all maintenance up to date - the brake and clutch fluid was as clear as water; and I paid $7599. From what I've gathered on the Hayabusa forums I absolutely stole this thing!

I am sure you will be reminded of the motor's existence every time you ride that Hayabusa. Don't need to see it to believe it.

the original owner traded it in for a Triumph Rocket III - he said he wanted more torque hahaha!!!

One huge thing I forgot, for a big bike the Hayabusa actually really handles well! It's not as crisp as a 600 super sport, but for a 580lb bike with this wheelbase it really hustles around the corners! I was shocked, and pleasantly surprised!

Dude words can't express how this thing pulls - it is pure, unadulterated speed from idle to redline (I think), haha I've not gotten all the way to redline yet, but i can imagine what its like!!!

I was REALLY nervous riding her home, but I was impressed with how linear the power comes on. It honestly reminds me of the CB the way the power is flat and predictable, but it just blasts you into another dimension as soon as you crack the throttle. You really have to think about cold tires and/ or debris on the road with this thing, one false move and you're on your butt!

Radical! It is a beauty, though. Sounds like you found too good a deal not to enjoy the Hayabusa lifestyle for a while. Enjoy!
