Don't share this too widelee but I have always gotten out of speeding tickets.
It's not necessarily free but they never show up on my record.
First when they call you up in court.
** Ask to go last!!! This allows the judge not to have everybody follow your lead. Then plead "No Contest to a 90 day suspended sentence and 10 hours of community service. I always throw in that I will clean dog pens at local pet rescue. Used this 5 times

That’s not getting out of a ticket- that’s trading one cost for another.
Time off work to go to court, court cost, time off work for community service- I would might as well just pay the ticket.

In regards to your record, you are referring to demerits points waived?

Point made. I was self employed. Always do community service anyway.

There are “advantages” from being retired from the WV State Police.

I learned how to talk to police a long time ago; if you're pulled over for speeding, admit that you were speeding, and ask for consideration. Don't lie, it makes them mad. Be respectful. And one more thing, being a veteran has worked for me many times. All my bikes and vehicles have had something on the rear to show I'm a veteran. I've been pulled over several times in the years since I ETS'ed from the army, and only got one ticket, and that was the one time I had no indicator of being a veteran on my bike. Another thing of note; back in the day, before I got back into riding, I had a long freeway commute full of crazy drivers and tailgators. I decided to get back into riding and acquired a nice black H-D Sportster. In the dealer one day, I spotted a small H-D sticker, bought it and put it in my back window. Crazy drivers tailgating me pretty much ceased.
Coincidence? I don't know for sure...

Me too. That's why I make enough an hour to not go to court or do community service.

Interesting.
Might be a useful test affixing an HD patch on the rear of the CB1100.

It helps to be sure to get pulled over in the rain in front of a donut shop. That happened to me once in Tucson. Shortest traffic stop on record. And yes, he went straight to the donut shop after giving me a very short lecture and no ticket.
I am always respectful and do make sure they see my Air Force retired ID card.
It couldn't hurt.
