It always makes me smile with satisfaction when I hit the starter button on the CB after it has sat idle for nearly six months, and the engine roars to life almost before the first rev is completed.
I had that satisfaction yesterday when I rolled it out into the sun for the first time this year.
The miserable spring weather had finally broken and it was time to get rolling.
I did a couple of cosmetic mods over the winter which I'll show when I can get a decent picture.
Looking forward to miles of smiles again

Those of us in the north all know the feeling. There's all kinds of CB smiles. There's the "Just looking at it in the garage" smile. There's the, "Wow, started instantly!" smile. And of course the, "'That's a really nice old Honda! What year is that?'" smile.

I felt that way yesterday. Id been out already this year but yesterday was just perfect and right from the early morning. I got out and did my first extended ride. Bike felt great and the some of the comfort mods i did(riser extensions etc) really made a massive difference.

Good on ya Rocky. Awesome you are finally out riding again.
I had that smile on today's CB ride too, even though I'm only 11 miles shy of 7,000 for the year.

Totally with you Rocky on Spring’s rejuvenating power over bikers. Wheeling the bike out of the garage (had to move a boat first) where it had sat for six months, turning the key and in not much more than a moment the greeting of that oh so subtle base note purr.

I had that exact moment today. Plus, the delight of getting reacquainted with fun motorcycling roads that I wouldn't bother to drive in my car. Even though I've ridden them a thousand times before, winters are long around here and the first ride of the spring always brings out something I never noticed before.

I had it yesterday and today, although there's no winter lock up here.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments.
I know many of you also have to bear the pain of a long winter with no riding and can identify with how it feels to hear that sweet engine running again come spring.
LongRanger got it right. I ride roads time and time again I wouldn't bother with in my car

Be safe everyone.
