Yes, I noticed it. I did not suggest the problem was with the tire. Someone else hinted at that. However, since you are not forthcoming about the issue I personally can only conclude you simply wore the tire out on a ride, as the ferret suggested.

That is an unusual thing since tires have wear bars and can be checked for wear.

I think the Big Lizard Bird is a lot smarter than that.

It's plain it is road damage or some other unexpected event.

But we will have to stand by with bated breath, eagerly awaiting the next installment of Pterodactyl and Cormanus' Excellent Adventures!

I think, I saw this issues here in Germany already reported by a friend. The problem with this tire is, in the middle is no tread, so no indicator, how much rubber is gone. Then you get suprised, when the textile shows up.

Old thread, but I've been considering the Angel GT as a replacement tire, so I'm scouring the forum to get people's experience.

From what I can tell, the Angel GT does indeed have tread and wear bars in the center of the tire. So, it should be straight-forward to check for wear:

It may not be straightforward to monitor the wear bars on the Angel GT; note that the ones closest to the center simply disappear while the next row outward has not yet reached the surface on Ptero's tire:

Townie, Pterodactyl seldom posts these days, but I know he continues to be very happy with the Angel GTs. I suspect he’s on his 3rd or 4th set by now.
