I’ll be interested to hear how you find them offroad. I bought some and quickly decided they were of no use at all!

I found this diamond plate rain suit on Ebay a couple months back for $32 free shipping ,no tax and snapped it up. I like it and have been caught in the rain a few times on my new bike that i am setting up for two up travel to Barber. Wife wanted the Cherry colored Lady's frogg toggs so they are on order. I must say the diamond plate is very well made , large zipper under velcro flap in the leg , and is made with very good quality , good reviews and reflector strips all over both pieces . great product for the price

the only problem I have found with frog toggs is getting them back in the bag they came in. Finally gave up and just roll them up and bungie to rack on CB or throw in top case of ST or FJR

All I can add to this is that every rain suit i've ever tried was a miserable failure. maybe in a sprinkle it would help keep you from getting damp, but you could just as easily dry off in the wind from that level of rain. in *real* rain, on my morning commute, no suit has ever kept me dry (that includes frog toggs). over the years i've just gotten to the point where I pay attention to the weather and pack a change of clothes if there's a significant chance for rain. it is, after all, just water, so i've decided that there's no reason for me to give a care.

as far as touring in rain, the couple of times i've been caught on long distance rides in the wet, i've found that if you're really travelling a good distance, you'll eventually ride right out from under it. a good 30 minutes on the road in 70-80mph wind will mostly dry you off even if you're soaking wet.

I think the only way you could actually stay completely dry is to put on a full body professional grade diving wetsuit over your clothes, james-bond style, and i just don't have or care to spend the money on something like that.

Mr P - I wasn't exaggerating in my earlier reply. If you want to stay dry and don't care to be a participant in the motorcycle fashion show then get a set of British Army isuued gortex rain gear.

LONG TRIP ALONG NORTH SIDE OF ST. LAWRENCE RIVER
The trip is scheduled for 5 day along with my friend Stan ('07, BMW, R1200 GS).
We often go for long distance rides, while our wives enjoy "freedom" without us.

Day 1, 1100 km
Was mostly HWY 401 ride to Quebec City. We took off from Toronto at 5 AM and near Kingston, ONT., got caught in heavy rain , so we have to leave 401, and stop on unknown side road. To our surprise we ended up nowhere to hide, and unable to ride due to restricted visibility, we were standing like two mushrooms awaiting rain end. The rain was he**, and invaded us suddenly. After 30 min , we return to 401 and continue riding, hoping for a better weather for the rest of that day. Somewhere before our destination, 50 km before Quebec city, all three broke loose: he**, havens and mother earth, pounding us with never seen before rain...so we stopped on hwy shoulder with 4 way flashers on...visibility through helmet = 20 meters, sea of water.., speed dropped to 40 km/h, there was no sky, just darkness as far as we could see....another 35 min wasted before resuming our ride.
If you think taking shower with full motorcycle gear, including helmet is rain, than you are very wrong, it is just a drizzle.
Finally in a motel, last room... around 6 PM
Hair dryer was running 1/2 a night to dry out Stan's boots and gloves. I just had slightly wet inside of my helmet thanks to my Triumph rain gear and water resistant gloves Klim.
